Healthy Puppies!

Today we drove the puppies to the vet in Madison for their first check up and distemper shots. They are all very healthy and ready to move onto their new homes.

We transported the puppies in two large crates. We kept the boys in one and the girls in another. They were all very well behaved during the 1 1/2 hour car ride and no one got car sick!!

At the vet we discovered that Tigger is the biggest puppy, weighing 7.3 lbs while Buzz is the smallest, weighing 5.8 lbs. All the other puppies (besides Simba, 7.0 lbs) weigh about 6 lbs, which is a good weight for their age.

All puppies have started chewing everything they can get their teeth into.It is getting a little painful to play with all of them in the pen. They constantly try to pull hair and put their teeth into whatever they can find.

We will be very sad to see our little friends leave next week!

Final Week

It is sad to say that this is the last week we will have to entire litter with us. The first puppy to leave is Buzz, who will leave on Friday.

 (Simba)
The puppies spend almost all of their time outside playing with us or their siblings. The thing they will miss the most when they are gone is the comfort of always having their brothers and sisters around to play or snuggle with.

 (Buzz)
We can already tell they will be great family dogs and love kids because whenever we let them out to walk around they follow us wherever we go.

As everyone grows they become more active and sure of themselves. They especially enjoy chasing each other through the grass and hiding under the swing set.

Crazy Days

All puppies have started to poop nonstop! We  have started to give them baths about every other day to keep them clean and to control their smell a little:)

Everyday we try to get them all running around with their mom. She likes to show them who is in charge.

(Bonnie)
Each puppy's personal traits are becoming more defined as they grow. For example, Bonnie has big ears and a white spot on her chest while Ariel has a very defined labradoodle nose:)

Everyone can't wait to see their new families in a week!

5 1/2 Weeks Old

The puppies have been growing by the day. We are weaning them onto their mom's food from Life's Abundance, which they eat in an instant.

They spend much of their time outside playing with each other and the kids. When they aren't doing that they are sleeping:)

We have them for two more weeks, then they go to live with their new families. We will be sad to see them leave!

BEWARE: they have started to chew EVERYTHING! Here is a video of our favorite four-legged friends:

4 Weeks Old!

The puppies were very popular during our Memorial Day party with cousins. Two of the puppies also met their future families. The puppies are getting better on their feet every day, learning to run and wrestle with each other. Soon we will have to replace the pool with a tarp, as they have begun to escape from the pool:) We have started feeding them mashed up puppy food with a milk supplement to start weening them as their teeth have started coming in.

We enjoy being able to take them outside where they enjoy exploring new places. However, they think the grass tastes good so we have to put towels down to prevent them from eating it! All puppies are spoken for!

They've Grown!!

The puppies are growing so fast! This past week their eyes and ears opened!

They also began to walk around and play with each other! But most of the time they just sleep in a big pile:)

We got to take the puppies outside today. The kids had fun watching them try to walk in the long grass.

There are two puppies still available, a black boy and a tan girl. If you are interested and want to visit let us know!
